As a Java and Cloud Architect you will join Federal Express Corporation (FedEx Express) - the world39s largest express transportation company. FedEx Express39 global transportation network ensures fast, reliable delivery of documents, packages, and shipments around the world.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and review of enterprise-level solutions that align with our strategic architecture goals. You will provide mentorship and coaching to other architects, offering innovative ideas to enhance existing systems39 value and cost-effectiveness. Acting as a technical and functional leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment between IT and business objectives. You will participate in architecture reviews, guide compliance with InfoSec standards, and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective communication and stakeholder management.
Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

Bachelor39s degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
Ideally more than 15 years of experience in Java/J2EE, and 8 years of designing and solutioning
Java, J2EE, microservices, Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, RPA, SaaS, PaaS, Iaas Concepts
Enterprise Architecture: TOGAF, ArchiMate, Microservices, Event-Driven, SOA, Serverless, Cloud Security
Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure: Azure, AKS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Cloud-Native, Legacy Modernization, AppDynamics, Kibana, Prometheus, Splunk
AI/ML & Digital Transformation: Azure GenAI, Azure Vision, LLMs, Digital Transformation
Programming Languages & Frameworks: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Angular, APIs, swagger
DevSecOps & CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, fortify Jacoco, PMD.
Testing & Automation: Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Mockito, Continuous testing integration with CI/CD pipelines
IDEs & Design Tools: Sparx Enterprise Architect, Visio, UML
Caching & Database: Redis, Hazelcast, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Azure database
Good understanding of onprem solution, hybrid solutions and integration technologies
Familiar with important concepts such as CI/CD, Test Driven Development and DevOps
Working experience in Agile methodologies
Knowledge of TOGAF is plus
Have skills to translate enterprise strategies to teams
Have ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Creative, passionate and brings innovative ideas
Have a very strong drive to expand your knowledge, gain new insights and stay up to date with the latest IT market trends
