As an IT administrator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the
company's IT network, servers and security systems. This role is
absolutely essential within our organisation to ensure business
continuity - you'll be responsible for investigating and diagnosing
network problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations
for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine
configuration and installation of IT solutions.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
oEnsure maximum availability and efficiency of the LAN and WAN in a
client server architecture for several locations and systems
oPerform and/or oversee Hardware and Software requirements of the
businesses
oManage, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot LAN\WAN including
firewall, remote access, anti-virus, patching, etc.,
- Conduct and verify the validity of daily backups
- Maintain and support all databases, applications and interfaces
- Set-up of all types of hardware (Servers, Storages, etc.)
- Installation and upgrades of all company software
- Break-fix of both server and desktop hardware and software
oProvide one-on-one assistance for all internal and external end-
users
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Telephony
system
- Maintain site licenses for department/organization
- Evaluate and recommend purchase of hardware, peripherals and
software
- Liaise and supervise with external clients and IT related service
providers
- Ensure compliances with local and corporate IT guidelines
- Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement
preventive measures
oTravel to regional offices to provide on-site assistance
Essential Position Requirements:
oMinimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role for a large
organization
oFamiliarity with Windows servers and VMWare technologies
oPrior experience in supporting, implementing and/or administering
networks
oStrong knowledge of backup technologies
oGood knowledge of IP addressing and TCP/IP networking
oExtensive knowledge of backup solutions, operating systems, software
packages, and software utilities
oDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision
oHigh standard of ethics, very good interpersonal and communication
skills
oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education:
oMaster's degree in the related field, preferably Computer Science or
Engineering
oFluent in English
