Senior Tax Specialist

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Tax Specialist to join a large, international organization as part of an internal tax team. The ideal candidate will be open to tackling a variety of tax-related challenges, collaborating with both business units and the group, and participating in diverse international projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with current corporate tax legislation, particularly VAT and CIT, for Polish group companies.
• Prepare various tax calculations and declarations, focusing on VAT and CIT, and provide backup support for other tax team members in areas such as deferred tax, WHT, and MDR reporting.
• Handle internal and external audits by preparing relevant data, documentation, and responses to summons and letters in tax proceedings.
• Conduct ongoing analysis and interpretation of tax regulations, monitor changes in tax law, and provide relevant recommendations for their application. Prepare tax recommendations for business, offer ongoing tax consultancy, and cooperate effectively with other company departments.
• Participate in or lead various projects and business initiatives requiring tax support, especially in adapting ERP systems due to frequent tax law changes (e.g., JPK CIT, KSeF).
• Conduct internal tax training for company employees and share knowledge with other team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years in taxes (tax specialist, accountant, or tax advisor)
• University Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Extensive tax knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP systems
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Efficient under pressure and deadlines
• Customer-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Communicative in German (nice to have)
