As a Manager Planning and Engineering you will join Federal Express Corporation (FedEx Express)- the world39s largest express transportation company. FedEx Express39 global transportation network ensures fast, reliable delivery of documents, packages, and shipments around the world. 


Your key responsibilities:

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure team members meet their objectives and have the necessary competencies and tools
  • Plan and organize resources to identify and develop goals related to business initiatives
  • Ensure alignment with divisional and corporate goals, manage risks, and secure commitment from key stakeholders
  • Present plans to senior management for approval
  • Maintain and develop expert knowledge of internal standards, external regulations, and the business environment
  • Provide expert advice on complex issues and explore innovative opportunities and solutions
  • Lead the design and implementation of process improvements and best practices within your area of expertise
  • Identify and analyze business issues, opportunities, and constraints
  • Make high-impact decisions and sponsor the implementation of solutions to ensure results
  • Conduct high-quality analysis, provide recommendations, and contribute to strategic planning
  • Develop and communicate reports to key stakeholders, including executive and senior management
  • Oversee projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within time and budget constraints
  • Support the team with project management tools and processes and lead the implementation phase of approved solutions
  • Manage the departmental budget, optimize costs, and ensure expenditures remain within agreed parameters
  • Ensure departmental activities comply with internal policies, external regulations, and legal requirements
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assess risks to the department and wider business
  • Build effective relationships within your team and with key stakeholders across the business
  • Maintain external alignments with customers, subject matter experts, and external organizations as required

What you39ll need to succeed 

  • A degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Significant experience (5-10 years) in a managerial role within planning and engineering, particularly in the properties and real estate domain.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with proficiency in planning and organizing
  • Expert knowledge of standards, external regulations, and best practices in properties and real estate
  • Relevant business accreditation or qualifications
  • Experience in managing projects and departmental budgets effectively
  • The ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations while identifying and implementing process improvements
