Work mode: remote
Compensation: 180-215 PLN/h net (+ VAT)

Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Portfolio Analyst to optimize and oversee the Risk/Human Capital Portfolio. Your role will involve ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, enabling data-driven decisions, and driving business value. Responsibilities include evaluating and managing portfolio initiatives, identifying gaps in offerings or capabilities, and translating them into actionable opportunities. You will conduct detailed business case assessments for funding requests and provide leadership with insights that enable value realization. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical expertise, effective stakeholder management skills, and the ability to deliver impactful recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in data analysis and research to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills to visually communicate complex topics.
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Core Competencies:
- Proactive and independent approach to engaging stakeholders at varying organizational levels.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, leveraging influence and diplomacy.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on translating data into insights.
Preferred Background:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, risk management, or transformation management.
- Proven success in implementing value-driven strategies to enhance business performance.
- Background in management consulting with diverse problem-solving experience across industries is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Oversight:
- Manage and monitor the Risk/Human Capital Portfolio to ensure it aligns with strategic objectives and delivers intended business outcomes.
- Maintain a strategic overview of portfolio initiatives, working with Project Managers to identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement during periodic reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation.
- Identify and manage dependencies across programs, helping address challenges to reduce risks and enhance value realization.
- Prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively in partnership with stakeholders.
- Validate KPIs to ensure tracking aligns with business case targets and reflects portfolio performance.
- Support the development and application of frameworks to prioritize portfolio initiatives.
- Stay updated on market trends, business priorities, and factors that could influence the portfolio’s performance.
Opportunity Identification and Evaluation:
- Evaluate new ideas and innovative concepts to determine their alignment with strategic goals and potential impact.
- Conduct feasibility assessments that include market research, risk evaluation, and financial analysis.
- Lead strategic research to explore opportunities, emerging trends, and new technologies.
- Assist in creating detailed initiative charters and business cases, clearly outlining objectives, benefits, investment requirements, and scope.
Business Case Evaluation:
- Analyze business cases for funding requests to ensure alignment with strategic and financial goals.
- Pressure test assumptions, risks, and feasibility to enhance the clarity and reliability of proposals.
- Challenge financial projections and risk areas to optimize cost and benefit articulation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data, assumptions, and expected outcomes.
- Provide actionable recommendations to leadership based on comprehensive financial and risk analysis.
- Assess risks related to new funding requests, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives.
Value Tracking:
- Develop dashboards and reports to track portfolio performance and metrics related to value delivery.
- Conduct quality audits on value metrics and work with project teams to address discrepancies.
- Review portfolio metrics to recommend whether to start, stop, or continue specific initiatives to optimize the portfolio.
Transparent Portfolio Reporting:
- Act as a liaison between project teams, leadership, and finance to ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations on funding decisions, risks, and portfolio performance.
- Deliver concise, impactful presentations to leadership that translate complex data into actionable insights.
