Profile:
- Azure cloud stack (e.g.:Storage Account, Azure SQL, Synapse, Key Vault, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Pulumi or Terraform, Github Actions, Team city, Azure Devops Pipelines).
- IaC approach (Pulumi or Terraform)
- Cloud infrastructure security and compliance
- Python (ETL/ELT and data pipelines using relevant frameworks such as pandas welcome)
- Some experience with C# ASP .NET MVC Framework, Javascript and HTM
- Test-driven development (TDD)

The DevOps Engineer role is assigned to the Core Team, a sub-team of the development team that focuses on implementing products that support the business as a whole and advancing the development plan. They are involved in setting standards for the rest of the development team, as well as
delivering business-sponsored projects.
The Development team resides within Business Technology Services - a team of BAs, PMs, programmers and QA staff executing a program of business and IT transformation projects.

The team consists of two main components - business partners and the development team.
- The development team focuses on three main topics:
- multi-year initiatives to expand the data platform and master data management capabilities focused on Azure Synapse
- making changes to internal .Net and SQL-based applications to capture and process fund and investment data
- providing core capabilities to support infrastructure and development practices

DevOps will be responsible for developing infrastructure and automated pipelines for development teams. This includes developing appropriate scripts to maintain environments and security

Non-Technical Skills:
- Experience in developing technical and systems architecture plans and roadmaps
- Defining strategies and implementing software engineering practices and supporting technologies
- Analytical skills, ability to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements
- Experience working in an agile software development environment
- Project management and DevOps concepts

Nice to have
- Experience in financial services
- Data warehouses
- PySpark, Data Lake
- Fixing and resolving database development issues, including performance tuning and optimization
- Analytics and reporting solutions, such as Anaplan, Tableau or Power BI
- Integration with the full O365 stack - such as SharePoint

The right candidate will be inquisitive and eager to understand the business environment.
 The majority of project designs will depend on third-party systems and/or data providers, which means vendor management skills are essential. It is important that the candidate be a self-starter who can work with minimal day-to-day support.
 Experience working in an agile environment is essential.
- Deep understanding of DevOps culture and promoting this approach within the team
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using modern tools and technologies
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely and reliable software delivery
- Automate deployments, configure and monitor applications and infrastructure
- Ensure reliability and availability of production systems through proactive monitoring and management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of all systems and applications
- Support other team members to ensure continuous improvement of team skills and knowledge
- Work with the development manager to create and implement a common strategy within the development plan

Examples of recent projects completed by the Business Technology Services team:
- Providing data warehousing and reporting capabilities for Strategic Equity and Credit Fund Management companies
- Implementation of a next-generation system for AUM management using Anaplan
- Implementation of Pulumi / IaaS system to improve continuous integration / development
- Access to Mezzanine portfolio data via Anaplan eliminating manual processes
- Implementation of a global entity management system
- Replacement of core core data system for AUM and IRR
