This role resides in Chef Technology Office area, in agile team within the Engineering and Platform Enablement.
As Senior macOS Engineer you will contribute to delivering the build of Apple macOS and Jamf (modern device build), review and define the hardware used for laptops devices, define the configuration to be applied to, manage and control the core infrastructure and will be accountable for all engineering work related to macOS (minor and major updates, product lifecycle).
You will be directly responsible for leading, directing and influencing a team within this pod to achieve the strategic aims of the company.

Your new role 

• Manage and be responsible for macOS and JAMF (MDM) roadmap, versions lifecycle
• Develop and maintain desired state configuration in line with cyber requirements (CIS)
• Develop MDM policies and configurations in dev/uat and expose this with relevant documentation for Ops team to promote in Production
• Perform early dev testing with beta releases from Apple and Jamf. Test new core functionality along with core apps and core agents (cyber security, collaboration etc)
• Enhance existing zero touch workflow for macOS provisioning
• Staying abreast of external developments in the general area of Apple Desktop, global regulation and competitor activity
• Proactive identification of issues and initiation of structured discussions with the key stakeholders, maintaining alignment to deliver against the CTO strategy and goals
• Act as integrator with key teams and functions to ensure macOS devices perform at right level (cyber security, networks, AD/Azure team), look for automation opportunities

What you39ll need to succeed 

• Solid and proven macOS and JAMF engineering skills and capabilities, in-depth products knowledge
• macOS deployments methods, desired configuration state - OS hardening
• integration knowledge and skills in enterprise company (networking including proxy/wifi, authentication, cyber security agents, cloud providers)
• macOS software packaging, delivery methods
• Python knowledge
• Innovative thinking, test & try approach
• Put costumer experience first while securing and protecting company39s data and assets
