Great opportunity for a Solution Architect!As a Solution Architect, you will join Federal Express Corporation (FedEx Express) - the world39s largest express transportation company. FedEx Express39 global transportation network ensures fast, reliable delivery of documents, packages, and shipments around the world.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Defining technology and architecture
• Maintaining the architectural runway for a solution or application, providing recommendations and roadmaps for proposed solutions
• Mentor emerging technologies and provide guidance to other architects
• Documenting and sharing best practice knowledge for new solutions
• Advocating for process improvements and helping develop solutions
• Regularly communicating new features and benefits to partners, customers, and other stakeholders
• Providing technical leadership to a team throughout the project lifecycle
• Developing proof-of-concept projects to validate your proposed solutions
• Reviewing and validating solutions designs from other team members
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies:

• More than 5 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment, latest experience with strategy formulation and solution/technical architecture, as well as designing, architecting, developing, implementing, and monitoring efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
• TOGAF certification or SAFe Solution Architect certification
• Java / JEE / Spring Framework knowledge
• Microservices Architecture knowledge
• Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions for testing, building, and deploying applications.
• Cloud Expertise (Azure) with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), and ORM tools like Hibernate.
• Strong experience with RESTful services and SOAP services. Expertise in designing and implementing APIs and handling integrations.
• Messaging Systems such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Security Best Practices.
• The ability to communicate and present at all levels within an international organisation, both written and verbal in the native and English language.
• The ability to independently set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals and track progress.
• An analytical thinker with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
