Your new role 

As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you will enhance the network cloud platform using the latest AWS technologies. You39ll be part of an agile team across multiple sites, deploying and operating microservices in cloud environments. You39ll automate platform operations with DevOps principles using Terraform and GitHub actions.You understand Agile methodologies, preferably with Scrum experience, and follow continuous delivery principles. You have experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines. You work efficiently with people, are structured and transparent, and excel at simplifying complex tasks.
Responsibilities:

• Create and enhance the CI/CD pipeline.
• Ensure Cloud infrastructure meets high standards for security, availability, redundancy, and latency.
• Test, launch, and maintain software products.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to design interfaces.
• Define storage and data maintenance protocols based on Cloud infrastructure needs.
• Provide backup support for data, control, and ML engineers, and learn on the job.
• Coach the team and stay open to learning about the energy sector.

What you39ll need to succeed 

Must have:

• Bachelor39s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive software development experience (5+ years), preferably in Python.
• Strong understanding and experience in Dev-Sec-Ops within AWS cloud (3+ years).
• Experience in developing real-time and low latency systems.
• Proficiency in development practices and DevOps engineering, including CI/CD processes and orchestration technologies.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing infrastructure using ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for service deployment, containers, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of IT security, high availability, cybersecurity, maintenance, and support.
• Familiarity with message brokers and microservice architectures.
• Understanding of Software Engineering principles: SOLID, clean code.
• Experience in software design and architecture, particularly in designing highly available and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen interest in learning about the energy domain.
• Full professional proficiency in written and oral English.

Nice to have:

• Creative approach and awareness of emerging technologies.
• Prior experience with electricity markets and flexibility markets.
• Experience with chargers for electric vehicles or home energy management.
• Familiarity with forecast models and parameter tuning.
• Background in data engineering, software design, and architecture.
• Knowledge of messaging and data/app protocols such as OCCP, MQTT, protobuf, etc.
• Experience in designing highly available and distributed systems.
• Experience working closely with data scientists and control engineers.
• Familiarity with ML infrastructure, including model deployment and data processing.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Enjoys working in a multilingual/multicultural environment.
