are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Technical Lead to help
us establish our new Design System, focusing on its development,
ongoing maintenance and driving roll-out across multiple product
teams.

***** Position description:

* Establishing the technical vision for the team and provide advice on
how to design and build against this vision
* Looking for opportunities to collaborate and improve overall
technology outcomes for clients and colleagues, communicating with
both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Leading the team in defining and evolving our technical approach and
mentoring other developers within the team
* Supporting product teams in adopting use of the Design System,
ensuring design system tooling supports their needs and allows for
ease of maintenance and updates
* Responsible for the successful operation and performance of the
Design System team
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of the product and team's
development workflow
* Ensuring design system documentation is clear, consistent and can be
easily consumed by all stakeholders
* Acting as a subject matter expert for Front End Development
technologies
* Developing, testing and deploying new features to the Design System,
writing excellent code accessible to everyone
* Potentially line management responsibilities for individuals within
team in future


***** Skills / knowledge / experience:

* Prior experience working in digital industries
* Experienced in design system tooling (e.g. Storybook, ZeroHeight,
Figma)
* Excellent with HTML/CSS (SCSS), JavaScript and Typescript
* Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React,
NextJS)
* Understanding CI / CD and Trunk Based Development
* Experience of setting development standards and performing code
reviews
* Experience with Node.js, Webpack
* Experience with unit, integration, and end to end testing tools and
practices (e.g. Jest)
* Able to write, assist in writing or reviewing technical
documentation
* Self-driven to develop technical expertise and mentor other
developers in the team
* Good knowledge and experience of Domain Driven Design concepts and
other design patterns
* Experience with Agile methodology
