*Senior Mechanical Designer*
Netherlands, near Eindhoven

Market leader in developing , building and servicing machines and
components for laser welding and marking, resistance welding, hot bar
and related. The client delivers reliable solutions to its partners in
automotive, IT & multimedia, electronics & solar cells, medical,
aerospace and defense.

*Responsibilities:*
Integral system design and the product documentation

*Day-to-day tasks:*
- rendering customer requirements and/or module specifications
preparing quotations with concepts, costing and estimation as support
for the sales department
- creating (sub)system concepts using multidisciplinary point of view
(motion, vision, software, electronics and mechanics), setup in CAD and
substantiated by necessary theoretical calculations
- contribution to project startup by defining work breakdowns and way of
developing (motivated by technical risk assessment)
- creating (sub)system designs, based on defined concept(s). Product
cost, CE regulations, manufacturability, serviceability, technical risk,
project delivery time and development effort have to be taken into account
- delegation, control and verification of design and product
documentation of external designers, also own designs
- outsourcing (sub)system design, in which case you have to define
proper performance specifications compatible with outsourcing, and
controllable way of working
- deployment of technical competences by giuding and coaching designers,
qualification and service engineers, and trainees
- support sales and service organisation as a technical specialist
maintaining Development Tooling for mechanical design

*Requirements:*
- minimum 8 years of experience in designing complex automated systems
(from early quotation and pre-concept phase to system qualification,
with maximum use of standard(ised) parts where appropriate)
- skilled in development methodologies, tools of the trade and rendering
customer requests in a reliale and competitive design
- B.Sc. Or M.Sc. in machine design, mechatronics or related
analytical and practical thinking, a team worker with good communication
skills - concise and comprehensive about the technical status
- good (minimum B2) English and/or Dutch

*Job details:*
Local contract.
Possible bonus, depending on company profit.
Workweek: 40 hours, 37 vacation days per year (includes compensation for
any possible overtime). Pension scheme compulsory (employer also
contributes).
