***** The Key Responsibilities:

* Local point of authority / decision maker in Central Services
technology matters
* Locally identifies and agrees process improvements in technology and
product development for Central Services
* Technically responsible for the product development teams in the
Central Services channel including:
** Account
** Registration
** Payments Frontend
** Customer Services
* Works with the local community of practice leads / discipline leads
to improve ways of working and product development for Central
Services This include:
** Architecture
** Development
** QA
** Business Analysis
** UX
** Infrastructure / Platform
** Release Management
* Outwardly engages Sports and Gaming channel owners to accommodate
the integration and delivery of Central Services products in their
roadmaps. Evangelises the benefits!
* Establishes a good working relationship with key 3rd party suppliers
in the Central Services domain including Open Bet, Oracle and
Squiz
* Helps define and drive the technology roadmap through engagement
with architecture and the business owners in Central Services
* No direct local line management but will be directly involved in
recruitment and performance reviews of local community of practice
/ discipline leads


***** Skills / knowledge / experience:

* University degree in the field of computer science, business
administration, or another rigorous discipline. An advanced degree
in one these fields is a plus
* Experienced senior developer/dev lead or solutions architect who has
worked multiple development teams across different geographic
locations (30+ team members)
* Experience with different delivery methodologies. Agile, waterfall
and 3rd party supplier delivery
* Knowledge of the full software development life cycle (including
support)
* Strong e-commerce technology domain knowledge is key
* Significant experience and a successful track record of delivering
and implementing complex software in a professional development
organization
* Strong people leader
