experienced IT industry workers. We also provide our Clients with
support in their HR and training activities.
Essenstial job requirements:
* Fluent spoken and written English
* Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent
experience
* Experience in problem solving (reactive & proactive)
* Good working knowledge of infrastructure and application
architecture
* Practical knowledge of Software Configuration Management process
* Practical knowledge of MS Team Foundation Server administration
* Practical knowledge of scripting languages (VBScript)
* Practical knowledge of .Net language
* Strong cultural awareness, work will with different cultures
* Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL) is a
plus
* Knowledge of Lotus Notes and SMTP protocol is a plus
* Knowledge of CMMI Process Areas is a plus
* Practical knowledge of Windows Server administration is a plus
* Practical knowledge of MSSQL 2008 is a plus
Position Description:
* Application Specialist is responsible for implementation support
in complex business critical services. Application Specialist has deep
application competence both functionally and operationally and ensures
for Service and Applications sustainability
* Main Accountabilities:
o Perform and manage activities support local businesses
implementation
o projects including tasks such as system configuration,
integration support, process definition and requirements gathering
o As part of implementation and operations drive for
proposing application improvements for optimized service delivery
o Stay up to date with latest application functionality by
actively interact with ongoing development
o Gather and write requirements as part of implementation
team and where applicable for system operations
o Document resolutions for future reference
o Support Project Manager / Service Level Manager in new
customers on-boarding and system testing activities
o Keep competence on application operations, upgrades and
maintenance
o Provide application training on-line and on-site as per
business demand
o Write and update training material
o Write and update system documentation
* Additional extraordinary accountabilities:
o Resolve users questions as 3rd level as extension to
incident management in cases where Service Desk competence is not
sufficient
o Support operations when applicable in resolving issues
reported by application monitoring system - these are related to
application stability and performance
o Escalate cases to Project / Service Management and
Operations Management
o Perform Application updates when applicable and as backup
competence for service sustainability
* Challenges:
o Support global service used by 3000 users worldwide (IS &
R&D)
o Act as point of contact with external vendor
o IS infrastructure is outsourced and in several cases
application Level 4 support is provided also by external supplier
