Essential Job Functions:
o Independently verify and approve audio signal processing algorithms
operating on embedded devices in a timely manner.
o Design, implement and document test procedures on implementation- as
well as system-level.
o Validate and maintain correct behavior of SW-components via
automated unit tests.
o Take on responsibility for the approval of embedded SW-components.
Technical Leadership
o Be a local technical expert on regression testing of audio
technologies.
o Maintain an awareness of competitors in the same area.
o Seek to increase knowledge by attending internal and external
trainings and conferences.
o Contribute ideas for new technologies, tools, or methodologies.
Teamwork & Communications
o Ensure that relevant information is shared within the project team.
o Work together with the development teams in the US, Germany and
Australia to improve Dolby's products.
o Provide technical assistance and expertise to non-engineering teams
such as Research.
o Promote a positive work environment.
o Demonstrate sensitivity in working with others.
o Readily accept input from other team members.

Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required:
o B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or
comparable field.
o 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
o Excellent English spoken and written communication skills.
o Excellent knowledge about test methodologies in the embedded area.
o Deep understanding of at least one test automation tool such as Sun
Grid Engine or Bamboo
o Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
o Experienced with controlling of embedded hardware devices e.g. via
JTAG.
o Problem solving skills.
o Familiar with embedded real time operating systems.
o Ability to work towards strict timelines.
